Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gilbert Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Knott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knott has chosen Kanye West vs. The xx - Touch The Sky (Carlos Serrano Mix) as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gilbert Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Buster Knott! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knott tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it. Knott lands a leg kick that knocks Smith off balance momentarily. Knott throws out a powerful jab. An inside leg kick from Knott misses. Knott cracks Smith with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Knott throws a leg kick that misses. Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knott tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knott to the ground. Knott escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Smith has managed to clinch.
Smith jumps guard but Knott turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Smith manages to break the clinch.
Knott misses with a series of wild punches.
Knott looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Knott closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Smith controlling the position well. Smith is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knott is trying to control the action in half guard but Smith is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Smith trying to control from the bottom.
Knott wants to free his trapped foot but Smith is holding on for dear life with his legs. Knott is keen to just control but Smith is a slippery customer.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Knott swings away with a leg kick that misses. Smith looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Knott is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Smith is aware though and is defending well. Smith decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Knott, up you get! Knott has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Smith is landing a low percentage of strikes. Smith gets caught flat footed, as Knott shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Knott trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom. Knott must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knott trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Smith controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knott wants to stand but Smith has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Knott trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Buster Knott was stalling too much, according to the referee. Knott moves out of range as Smith throws a body kick.
Knott throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range. Knott ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Knott throws a body kick that misses. A punch combination from Knott misses. Knott scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Knott moves into range and clinches up with Smith. Smith is trying to force a seperation but Knott has the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is keeping an eye on Smith - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Knott has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Smith gets control of Knott's arms and successfully pulls guard. Smith will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Smith working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Knott. Knott pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now. Knott is looking to pass into half guard but Smith pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Smith is in guard. Smith decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. A punch combination from Knott misses. Smith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gilbert Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knott catches Smith with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Knott closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Knott lands in his opponent's guard. Smith is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Knott trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith keeping full guard, as Knott tries to pass. Smith trying to control the position.
Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Knott's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Knott wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment. Knott is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Buster Knott dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Knott fails with the takedown. Knott closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Knott lands in his opponent's guard. Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet. Knott drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smith dives on top into guard. Smith stops Knott from standing up. Knott keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully. Smith lands a couple of elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knott wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment. Knott has his foot on Smith's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smith works his way back into a safe position though. Knott wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment. Knott looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Smith passes into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Smith in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith is thwarting Knott's attempts to control the position. Knott works his way to full guard. Good work. Knott looking to control.

Buster Knott has got the better of the ground game so far. Smith tries to score with some ground and pound. Knott controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smith trying to control the position but Knott is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Gilbert Smith will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Knott sees it coming and avoids it easily. Smith gets caught flat footed, as Knott shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Knott stays in close to Smith's body and controls the position. Knott trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Knott might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Smith haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Knott pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now.

Smith checks a leg kick. Knott misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smith shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Knott looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Smith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Knott's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith is working for a submission of some sort.
Smith prevents Knott from improving his position. Smith content to control rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith throwing shots but Knott is blocking nicely. Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Knott keeps working. Smith is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Knott doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Smith. Knott is trying to maintain the position but Smith is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knott is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Knott moves into full guard.
Smith slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Buster Knott. I think Knott has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by majority decision... Buster Knott! Buster Knott bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it. Gilbert Smith was interviewed post fight and said 'I cane out and gave it my best came up short but ill be back and this time ill be the winner'.
