Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacey Parke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parke changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Parke manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Parke could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Parke tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jacey Parke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Parke feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Parke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jackson throws a combination. Parke tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Parke throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Parke off to one side.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Parke accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Parke wants to stand but Jackson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Parke moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jackson stuffs the takedown attempt from Parke. Parke gets slowly back to his feet.

Parke tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jackson throws a right and a left that Parke avoids nicely.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Parke misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jackson.
Parke shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Parke keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Parke dodges the punch combination from Jackson.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jackson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jacey Parke will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Parke wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.
