Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joris Sainte Roche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sainte Roche's entrance music is Bob Bissonnette - La machine à scorer. A fine choice. Thompson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Here comes the boom. John Thompson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Thompson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sainte Roche is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Thompson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sainte Roche working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thompson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Thompson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Thompson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sainte Roche is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Thompson defends well.
Sainte Roche is looking to cinch up a triangle. Thompson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Sainte Roche's body to avoid the submission. Sainte Roche has instead reached around Thompson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Sainte Roche arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
