Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monte Melkonian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastian Kraft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melkonian comes to the cage accompanied by Artsakh Music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Sebastian Kraft enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Monte Melkonian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sebastian Kraft!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melkonian swats away the attempt to clinch by Kraft.
Melkonian fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
An inside leg kick lands from Melkonian.
Melkonian connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Kraft closes the distance looking to clinch

and Melkonian counters with a single leg into guard. Kraft didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Melkonian trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Melkonian wants to get up but he can't break Kraft's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kraft can do anything to dispel that myth.
Melkonian stops Kraft from standing up.
Kraft looks winded!
Melkonian throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Melkonian wants to control from the top but Kraft keeps moving.

Kraft is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kraft can't keep his opponent in guard - Melkonian advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Melkonian takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Melkonian postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kraft to stand up.

Melkonian shoots in and gets a takedown into Kraft's guard.

Melkonian keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kraft's head.

Melkonian wants to stand but Kraft has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Melkonian stands up and waves to Kraft to follow him.

Melkonian closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kraft's guard.

Melkonian tries to free his leg and advance position but Kraft is retaining full guard.
Melkonian stays in close to Kraft's body and controls the position.
Kraft keeping moving, preventing Melkonian from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Monte Melkonian.

Melkonian has closed the distance and engaged Kraft in a clinch.

Melkonian wants to take a breather but Kraft is having none of it.
Kraft keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Melkonian is trying to control. Kraft wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Melkonian postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kraft to stand up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Melkonian avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Monte Melkonian dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Melkonian shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Melkonian was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kraft is trying to buck Melkonian off.

Melkonian decides to stand back up.
Melkonian turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Monte Melkonian is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Melkonian takes the fight into the clinch.

Melkonian pulls guard successfully.

Melkonian working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kraft doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kraft manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Melkonian wriggles free and stands up.
Kraft is breathing heavily.

Melkonian fails with a takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kraft.

Kraft tries to keep at a distance but Melkonian has taken the fight into the clinch.
Melkonian lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Sebastian Kraft has been cut.
Melkonian is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kraft can do to turn this around?

Melkonian lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Melkonian seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kraft does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Melkonian not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Well, if Melkonian is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Melkonian is trying to control. Kraft wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Melkonian tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kraft knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Monte Melkonian.

Melkonian rushes Kraft and presses him up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kraft.
Melkonian lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Melkonian has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kraft clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Melkonian has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Melkonian wants to control but Kraft is keeping busy.
Kraft has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Melkonian.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Monte Melkonian dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Sebastian Kraft's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Kraft has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kraft there as he acknowledges the shot.
Melkonian fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Melkonian is trying to trip Kraft. He has hold of a leg but Kraft is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Melkonian persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Melkonian's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Kraft takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Melkonian trying to control the position from guard on top but Kraft is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Melkonian won't allow Kraft to sweep him here.
Melkonian wants to control from the top but Kraft keeps moving.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Monte Melkonian wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Kraft leaves Melkonian with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kraft defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Melkonian.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monte Melkonian. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kraft keeps the fight on the outside.

Melkonian feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Melkonian is looking to work some ground and pound but Kraft has wrist control.
Kraft utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Melkonian passes Kraft's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Kraft is staying active underneath Melkonian, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sebastian Kraft has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kraft is looking to improve his position.
Monte Melkonian overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Melkonian maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kraft could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Melkonian has cracked it and Kraft is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Melkonian!
