Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zell Dincht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Sobral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dincht comes to the cage accompanied by Fanfare. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zell Dincht! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julio Sobral! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sobral bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Zell Dincht seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sobral throws out a loose jab but Dincht uses good head movement to avoid it. A solid leg kick lands there for Dincht.
Decent striking displayed by Dincht there. Sobral loads up on a big right hand but Dincht slips the punch. Dincht throws an off balance right hand
and Sobral counters with a nice double leg into guard. Sobral trying to control the position from guard on top but Dincht is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dincht pulls Sobral in to control the position. Sobral looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dincht controls Sobral momentarily but Sobral frees himself. Sobral pushing down on Dincht's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dincht regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Sobral. Dincht working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sobral doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sobral manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sobral wants to control from the top but Dincht keeps moving. Sobral stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dincht swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dincht utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dincht keeping moving, preventing Sobral from controlling successfully. Sobral must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sobral trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dincht seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Dincht utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sobral works over Dincht with some ground and pound from guard. Dincht looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sobral trying to control but Dincht is working from the bottom. Sobral wants to pass the guard but Dincht is keeping the position. Sobral wants to control from the top but Dincht keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dincht trying to control the position here. Dincht looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sobral content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Dincht is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dincht is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sobral pushing down on Dincht's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Sobral is stalling here. Dincht is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sobral seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Dincht has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Sobral trying his best to control but Dincht has mounted him. Dincht with shots to the head and body - Sobral looks very uncomfortable down there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sobral regains half guard. Dincht is working for a kimura but Sobral is defending it quite comfortably.
Sobral tries to get to full guard but Dincht has control of the leg. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dincht lands a nice short elbow. Dincht keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Dincht thows a huge punch but Sobral dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sobral is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Dincht scores with a shot to the body.
A left lands for Dincht. Dincht shoots for a double leg takedown but Sobral sprawls well. He's pushed Dincht's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sobral connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Dincht lands with a good body shot. Dincht closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sobral circles away. Dincht just misses with a punch to the body.
Dincht throws out a powerful jab. Dincht changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sobral looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Dincht is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sobral is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dincht wants to control but Sobral is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Sobral's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sobral is trying to get back to half guard. Sobral is trying to control Dincht's posture but Dincht avoids it. Dincht working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sobral regains half guard. Sobral trying to control from the bottom.

Dincht is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sobral is just riding it out for now. Dincht eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dincht prevents Sobral from improving his position. Dincht trying to control the pace. Sobral is refusing to be controlled, as Dincht sits in half guard. Sobral wants to control but Dincht is keeping busy and won't allow it. Sobral tries to roll over but Dincht keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sobral keeping hold of Dincht's head, controlling as best he can. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dincht swings for the body but Sobral moves out of range.
Dincht shoots in looking for a takedown. Sobral tries to sprawl out of it but Dincht keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sobral manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zell Dincht. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sobral with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dincht to score with a decent uppercut. Dincht throws a body punch but Sobral moves out of range. Dincht throws a jab but it's blocked by Sobral. Dincht changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sobral tries to avoid it but Dincht manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sobral to the ground. Sobral escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dincht swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sobral defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dincht. Dincht connects with a body shot that sends Sobral's belly button to the back. Dincht slips a jab and a cross from Sobral.
Sobral with a lazy takedown attempt and Dincht counters with a right hand to the body. Dincht dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Nice sprawl there from Sobral as Dincht shoots in. Dincht throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Sobral misses with a jab, cross combination.
A punch lands to the side of Dincht 's head but he takes it in his stride. Some bone on bone action there as Sobral checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice takedown defense from Sobral. No joy for Dincht on that attempt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sobral uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dincht. Dincht on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zell Dincht dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

so Sobral counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sobral works over Dincht with some ground and pound from guard. Dincht lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sobral! Dincht trying to control but he's not successful this time. Sobral is trying desperately to improve position. Dincht landing shots from mount. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sobral tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sobral regains half guard. Dincht is trying to control. Sobral wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Sobral is defending against the submission attempts here by Dincht.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dincht is working for a kimura here but Sobral manages to reverse the position and he's now in Dincht's guard.

Dincht pulls Sobral in close to prevent any damage. Dincht avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sobral trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sobral being controlled here momentarily. Dincht wants to sweep here but Sobral controlling him for the moment. Julio Sobral has got the better of the ground game so far. Sobral sitting in guard here, content to control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A big left from Sobral misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dincht misses the shot to the body. Dincht tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sobral was well out of range. Poor timing from Dincht. Sobral on the wrong end of a nice jab. Dincht scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sobral in his tracks. Dincht takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Sobral jabs Dincht to the body, keeping him at a distance. A left and a right from Sobral both land. Nice combination. Sobral misses with a wild combination.

Nice sprawl there from Sobral as Dincht shoots in. Sobral has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dincht.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dincht steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sobral. Jab by Dincht. Good leg kick by Dincht there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sobral takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Dincht is looking to wear down Sobral with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Sobral misses with a double jab
and Dincht counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sobral thinking. Dincht moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Dincht throws a right hand that Sobral ducks under and follows up with a left that Sobral also avoids with ease. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dincht fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dincht fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sobral avoids it really well and circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zell Dincht. I think Dincht has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Zell Dincht! A less than humble Zell Dincht misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
