Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between DR Pepper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Friendly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Friendly is looking to chop away at Pepper's legs.
George Friendly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Friendly leaves Pepper with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Pepper.
Pepper shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Friendly as he avoids it easily.

We've been hearing reports that Pepper has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Friendly wants to slow Pepper down by chopping away at his legs.
Pepper feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Friendly 's calf.

Friendly is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pepper is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Friendly to the mat. Friendly regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Friendly crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pepper - the referee stops the clock and Friendly gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pepper. Friendly manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Friendly lands a really nice looking cross but Pepper seems unphased.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Friendly is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Pepper manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Friendly on his heels. He'll look to pass Friendly 's guard now, I'm sure.

Friendly connects with a nice cross there... Pepper is looking wobbly and Friendly recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Pepper to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Friendly jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
