Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Казаки - Ой Да kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Emelianenko has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
We've been told by Daniels's head coaches at Ballas Only that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That kick from Daniels tenderised Emelianenko's leg. Emelianenko is trying to keep his angry face on.
Daniels uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Emelianenko.
Daniels throws a head kick that misses.
A punch lands to the side of Emelianenko 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Emelianenko swings widly with a right hand
and Daniels counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Daniels.
Emelianenko is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Daniels creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Emelianenko's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Emelianenko drops to his knees and Daniels pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Daniels!
Our winner, John Daniels, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
