Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corwin Anstey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuteru Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anstey comes to the cage accompanied by Zero to sixty. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kazuteru Machida! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anstey instigates a clinch. Anstey gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Machida trying to control from the bottom.
Machida is trying to get back to full guard. Machida trying to hold on to Anstey's head to control him but Anstey postures up.
Machida tries to get to full guard but Anstey has control of the leg. Anstey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Machida on the ground. Machida trying to hold on to Anstey's head to control him but Anstey postures up.
Anstey tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Machida. Machida wants to control but Anstey is keeping busy and won't allow it. Machida tries to roll over but Anstey keeps him under control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Anstey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Machida circles away quickly and effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anstey throws a right and a left that Machida avoids nicely. Anstey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Machida trying to hold on to Anstey's head to control him but Anstey postures up.
Anstey prevents Machida from improving his position. Anstey wants to stand but Machida has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Machida wants to get back to full guard. Machida trying to control but Anstey postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machida trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Anstey manages to pass to mount!
Anstey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Machida wants to control but Anstey is having none of it. Machida is trying to escape the mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Machida tries to lock up and control but Anstey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Machida is looking to improve his position but Anstey isn't that keen on the idea.

Anstey pushes Machida up against the cage in a clinch. Anstey gets control of Machida's arms and successfully pulls guard. Anstey will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Anstey keeping moving, preventing Machida from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anstey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Machida is controlling him. Machida has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Tristar Gym [TG] . Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Machida drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Anstey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Machida has Anstey in his guard. Anstey gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Anstey blocks a head kick by Machida.
Anstey throws a sloppy head kick and Machida moves out of range easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Anstey misses with a two punch combination.
Machida tries to clinch there but Anstey circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Corwin Anstey dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Anstey decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Anstey wants to stand up but Machida has a hold of him and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Machida is trying to maintain the position but Anstey is very close to passing his half guard. Machida moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Anstey trying to stand up but can't free himself from Machida's guard. Machida controlling Anstey's posture. Machida is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Anstey defends well. Anstey being controlled here momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machida looking for subs off his back but Anstey has passed one foot through into half guard.
Machida wants to control but Anstey is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Machida is pressing down on Anstey's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Machida trying to keep a closed guard but Anstey is proving a slippery customer.
Machida manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Machida swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Anstey is now in Machida's guard. A big mistake from Machida there, giving up the dominant position!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machida is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Machida wants to sweep but no luck. Machida not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Anstey decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Anstey lands a nice shot that snaps Machida's head back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Anstey throws a right and a left that Machida avoids nicely. Anstey throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machida is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Anstey.
It looks like Kazuteru Machida has been cut. Machida shoots in looking for a takedown but Anstey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Machida's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Anstey works over Machida's head and body with a nice combination. Corwin Anstey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Anstey misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Machida shoots in for a takedown but Anstey shows good takedown defense. Anstey tries to close the distance and clinch but Machida swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Machida is defended easily by Anstey. Corwin Anstey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazuteru Machida. Anstey looks to land a combination but Machida avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anstey misses with a jab, cross combination.
Machida throws a nice looking combination but Anstey bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Machida takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Machida shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anstey drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Machida is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Anstey is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Machida working to try and regain half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Machida keeps trying to improve his position. Machida tries to hold on but Anstey postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anstey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Machida is trying to defend but Anstey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Anstey is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Anstey trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Machida is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Machida works his way to full guard. Good work. Machida looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Machida will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machida had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Anstey defends it easily. Machida is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Machida trying to keep a closed guard but Anstey is proving a slippery customer.
Kazuteru Machida has got the better of the ground game so far. Anstey wants to get up but he can't break Machida's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Machida trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Anstey is looking to stand up but Machida won't let him. Machida is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Anstey rolls with it to try and escape but Machida cranks on the arm and Anstey is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
