Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thaddeus Jimenez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itzo Eiji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thaddeus Jimenez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Itzo Eiji!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eiji misses with an uppercut

and Jimenez moves into the clinch.
Eiji's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Eiji on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Jimenez wants to break the clinch but can't.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jimenez.
Jimenez with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Jimenez is trying to break the clinch but Eiji is controlling him.

Eiji turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Eiji manages to end up in side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Eiji is staying tight to Jimenez's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Eiji wants to control but Jimenez is keeping him busy.
Jimenez is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Eiji has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Eiji misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Jimenez is not content to let Eiji control the position.
Jimenez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Eiji asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eiji tries to advance position but instead Jimenez slips a leg back in to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jimenez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Eiji.

Itzo Eiji has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jimenez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Eiji manages to avoid it.
Jimenez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Eiji shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Eiji was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jimenez prevents Eiji from improving position.
Jimenez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Eiji is controlling him well.
Jimenez tries to bench press Eiji off him but Eiji keeps the position.

Jimenez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Eiji tries to advance to mount but can't.

Jimenez is being controlled here.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Itzo Eiji was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Eiji rushes Jimenez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Jimenez's face as he tries to break the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Eiji creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Eiji successfully pulls guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jimenez postures up.

Eiji throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jimenez escapes and throws Eiji's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Eiji gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Itzo Eiji dominated that round.
That's time! Jimenez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A looping hook to the body misses from Jimenez. Eiji does a little dance to reset his feet.

Eiji closes the distance and clinches.
Eiji prevents Jimenez from breaking the clinch.
Jimenez struggles to land a body shot inside as Eiji controls his hands.
Jimenez wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Eiji has him pressed against the cage.
Jimenez tries to work over Eiji's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Jimenez wants to get back to striking at distance but Eiji won't allow it.
Jimenez throws a head punch that misses.

Eiji breaks the clinch.
Eiji closes the distance looking to clinch

and Jimenez moves into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Eiji gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Itzo Eiji has got the better of the ground game so far.
Eiji stops Jimenez from standing up.

Eiji gets to his feet - Jimenez follows without any prompting.
Eiji tries to clinch there but Jimenez circles away.

Eiji gets the takedown into side control.

Jimenez is looking for a sweep.
Jimenez regains half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Eiji controlling the pace.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Itzo Eiji wasn't active enough on the ground.

Eiji drives through with a takedown into Jimenez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Eiji wants to control from the top but Jimenez keeps moving.

Eiji gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jimenez enables Eiji to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jimenez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Eiji looking to sit in guard and control but Jimenez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Eiji can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jimenez controls the pace.
Eiji wants to sweep here but Jimenez controlling him for the moment.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Eiji preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Eiji is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jimenez is aware though and is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Itzo Eiji showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Eiji darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Eiji wants to control but Jimenez is keeping him busy.
Eiji throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Jimenez wants to stand back up but Eiji manages to pass into side control.

Eiji decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jimenez to his feet.

Eiji drives through with a takedown into guard.
Eiji forces his way into half guard.

Eiji seems to be working for a kimura but Jimenez defends the submission attempt.
Eiji wants to pass to mount but Jimenez is defending the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Itzo Eiji is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Eiji is keen to just control but Jimenez is a slippery customer.

Eiji is looking to take a break and control but Jimenez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Eiji is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jimenez will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Itzo Eiji comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Eiji winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
