Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boy Bubby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Protacio Jawo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jawo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rusty Cage. Jose Protacio Jawo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boy Bubby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

32 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Protacio Jawo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jawo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bubby moves away from the strike by Jawo.
Bubby uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jawo.
Bubby has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Jawo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Jawo thows a leg kick but Bubby checks it
and Bubby counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jawo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bubby doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bubby manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bubby throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jawo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Bubby is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jawo looks to throw the jab but Bubby is out of range.
Bubby gets caught flat footed, as Jawo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bubby tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jawo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bubby swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jose Protacio Jawo was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Jawo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bubby stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bubby tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jawo swivels and escapes.
Jawo throws a half hearted mid kick.
Bubby steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jawo.
Bubby fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jawo on the side of the head.

Jawo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jawo throws a body punch but Bubby moves out of range.
Jawo checks the leg kick nicely there.
Jawo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jawo misses with a kick to the body.
Bubby walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jawo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jawo works over Bubby's head and body with a nice combination.
Jawo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bubby on the side of the head.
Jawo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jawo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bubby counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jawo won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bubby wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jawo keeps working.

Bubby tries to score with some ground and pound. Jawo controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

That was a close round but I would say that Boy Bubby will probably get the nod.
That's time! Bubby's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Bubby counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Jawo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bubby sprawls well. Bubby wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jawo gets slowly back to his feet.
Bubby displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jawo.

Jawo takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bubby, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
