Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wilson Reis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Borys Mankowski! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reis paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Reis cracks a nice hook into Mankowski's ribs. Mankowski throws a body punch but Reis moves out of range. Reis cracks Mankowski with a right hand to the side of the head. Mankowski has closed the distance and engaged Reis in a clinch.
Reis has had enough of the clinch but Mankowski keeps him there for the moment. Reis working hard to break the clinch. Reis is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Reis stalling in the clinch.
Reis tries to break the clinch but Mankowski is controlling the position. Mankowski manages to break the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mankowski. Reis misses with a wild combination.
Mankowski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mankowski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Mankowski manages to capitalize on a mistake by Reis to take his back! Reis is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Reis is trying to get back to his feet but Mankowski has full control of the position and if anything, Reis has just worked his way into a worse spot. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mankowski misses with an elbow to the head. Borys Mankowski dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Reis smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Mankowski closes the distance and pushes Reis back into the cage. Reis prevents the takedown attempt.
Mankowski tries to stall but Reis uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Mankowski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Reis lands with a right hand. Reis stuffs the takedown attempt from Mankowski. Mankowski gets slowly back to his feet. Wilson Reis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Borys Mankowski. Mankowski tries to close the distance and clinch but Reis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Reis misses with a jab, cross combination.

Reis tries to bum rush Mankowski with a series of wild strikes but Mankowski uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Reis throws a left that rocks Mankowski and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Reis dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Mankowski regain composure!

It looks like Borys Mankowski has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reis throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Mankowski is still in real trouble! Can Reis finish him? Mankowski manages to work his way to half guard, despite Reis's best efforts. Mankowski trying to control from the bottom.
Mankowski seems to have recovered his senses. Mankowski actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mankowski is breathing heavily. Reis not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reis trying to pass the guard but Mankowski defending well. Mankowski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reis pulls his head out easily. Mankowski actively working from the bottom here. Reis is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Reis looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Reis is looking to take a break and control but Mankowski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mankowski moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Mankowski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mankowski has a closed guard, preventing Reis from standing up. Mankowski controls Reis momentarily but Reis frees himself. Mankowski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Reis is looking to stand up but Mankowski won't let him. Reis has gone for a leg lock! Mankowski slips out almost immediately though and dives into Reis's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mankowski not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mankowski throwing strikes but missing. Mankowski wants to control from the top but Reis keeps moving. Reis is adopting a defensive guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Reis is trying to keep Mankowski in close.

Mankowski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reis swivels and escapes. Mankowski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mankowski closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Reis's guard. Reis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mankowski on the ground. Mankowski throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mankowski drops back looking for a leg! Reis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reis manages to kick Mankowski off! Mankowski jumps back into Reis's guard. Mankowski sitting in guard, not really doing much. Mankowski trying to control but Reis is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mankowski decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Reis, up you get! Mankowski looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wilson Reis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Borys Mankowski. Mankowski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mankowski shoots in looking for a takedown but Reis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mankowski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Reis ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Reis!
Wilson Reis is winning the standup battle so far. A right-left combo lands from Reis. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mankowski tries to close the distance and clinch but Reis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Borys Mankowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reis connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Mankowski tumbling to the canvas! Reis pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Mankowski was done - good stoppage!
