Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Leduc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leduc comes to the cage accompanied by Lose yourself. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Leduc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Russell Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leduc moves away from the strike by Wallace.
Wallace misses with a looping right.
Leduc throws a leg kick
and Wallace counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Leduc thinking.
Wallace misses with a kick to the body.

Leduc drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Leduc lands a nice forearm strike.
Wallace isn't going anywhere.
Wallace takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Leduc postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Wallace tries to improve position but can't.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Leduc looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Wallace is avoiding damage well.
You can see the frustration on Wallace's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The strikes coming from Leduc are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wallace is looking for a sweep.
Leduc misses with the ground and pound.
Wallace tries to bench press Leduc off him but Leduc keeps the position.

Leduc looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Wallace pulls Leduc in close to prevent any damage.
Leduc will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Leduc is in close to Wallace's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Wallace is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wallace is looking to advance position but Leduc won't allow it.

Wallace wants to take a breather but Leduc is having none of it.
Leduc pushes Wallace off looking to stand but Wallace dives back in and keeps control.

A close round but Russell Wallace will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Russell Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Wallace, right into the meat.

Wallace has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Leduc is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Wallace is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Leduc knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wallace moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Leduc has worked his arm free - good work by Leduc!

Russell Wallace showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Wallace misses with a leg kick.
Wallace takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Leduc fails with the takedown.

Wallace fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Leduc sprawls well initially but Wallace persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Wallace is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Leduc sees it coming and defends easily.

Wallace looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Wallace wants to take a breather but Leduc is having none of it.

Leduc moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Leduc wants to sweep here but Wallace controlling him for the moment.
Wallace is working Leduc over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Leduc is on top in guard.

Wallace throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Leduc escapes and throws Wallace's legs to the side, diving into side control!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Russell Wallace hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Leduc takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A nice leg kick lands there from Wallace.
Leduc throws a hook but Wallace avoids it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Russell Wallace comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wallace has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
