Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darius Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darius Ellis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 76 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frito Lei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darius Ellis! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lei closes the distance and clinches. Ellis is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lei is keeping busy. A head punch on the inside from Lei fails to land. Lei definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ellis crunches a lovely knee into Lei's ribcage. Ellis blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Ellis stalling in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Ellis. Lei lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ellis backwards. Ellis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lei is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Lei lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Ellis avoids the elbow strike from Lei, against the cage.
Ellis jumps guard but Lei stands there with Ellis around his waist. Ellis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for Ellis.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lei prevents the takedown attempt.
Frito Lei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darius Ellis. Lei breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lei has closed the distance and engaged Ellis in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis struggles to land a body shot inside as Lei controls his hands.
Lei tries to land a knee to the head but Ellis blocks with his arms.

Lei misses the shot to the body. Lei throws a head kick that misses. Lei pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lei throws a sloppy head kick and Ellis counters with a big head kick but Lei shrugs it off. Lei clinches up with Ellis and pushes him back against the cage. Lei breaks from the clinch.
Ellis shoots in and drives through. Lei sprawls well. Ellis lands a slapping body shot.
Lei dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Left hook, right uppercut from Ellis. Ellis fails in his attempt to clinch. Frito Lei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ellis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lei paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lei closes the distance and clinches. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ellis tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lei avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis prevents a body shot from Lei. Lei is trying to break free. Ellis with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Lei's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A solid leg kick lands there for Lei.
Ellis takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lei fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Ellis is out of range. Lei forces Ellis back against the cage and clinches. Lei keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ellis's efforts to push away. Lei breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ellis throws a right hand that Lei ducks under and follows up with a left that Lei also avoids with ease. Ellis gets tackled into the cage by Lei. Lei maintains the clinch. A hook to the body from Lei.
A knee to the head by Lei.
Ellis looks winded! Ellis tries to break the clinch but Lei is controlling the position. Lei breaks the clinch.
Ellis tries to clinch but Lei is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lei has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lei escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lei clinches with his opponent.
Ellis tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lei avoids it. Lei gets underhooks to prevent Ellis's takedown attempt.

Lei instigates a clinch. Ellis managing to block the knees to the body from Lei.

Ellis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lei will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Frito Lei is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lei throws a shot from downtown. Ellis moves away and avoids it. Lei avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lei closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellis tries to land knees in the clinch but Lei avoids the damage to the body. Ellis tries a knee to the head but Lei blocks it.
Lei unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ellis lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Lei breaks from the clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lei. Lei clinches up with Ellis and pushes him back against the cage. Lei breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lei rushes Ellis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lei escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ellis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lei sprawls well. Lei wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ellis gets slowly back to his feet. Lei cracks Ellis with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ellis looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lei finish him?
Ellis is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lei clinches up against the cage. Ellis is still on wobbly legs! Can Lei finish him? Lei breaks from the clinch.
Ellis seems to have recovered his senses. Ellis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lei manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lei lands a nice looking body kick. Lei has closed the distance and engaged Ellis in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frito Lei dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Lei closes the distance and pushes Ellis back into the cage. Lei escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ellis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lei throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lei closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lei is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ellis is defending well for now. Ellis keeps control of Lei as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ellis tries to pull guard but Lei holds him up against the cage and eventually Ellis drops back down to his feet.

Ellis misses with an elbow over the top. Lei breaks from the clinch.
Lei moves into range and clinches up with Ellis. Lei can't break the clinch.
Ellis lands a good knee to the midsection. Lei won't want to take too many of those.

Frito Lei has scored more points in the clinch so far. Ellis goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lei prevents it.

A head kick misses from Ellis. Ellis tries to clinch up. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Lei. Ellis shrugs it off though. Ellis is breathing heavily. Lei fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ellis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Lei scores with a kick to the midsection. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lei clinches up against the cage. Lei breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lei rushes Ellis with punches - Ellis moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Ellis goes down! Lei follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frito Lei! In defeat, Darius Ellis stepped up to the mic, saying 'He is an excellent fighter and had a good gameplan. Nothing else to do now but get back in the gym'.
