Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vernon Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Kamehameha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vernon Cook has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vernon Cook! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, King Kamehameha! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kamehameha tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cook paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cook stuffs the takedown. Kamehameha looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. No luck for Kamehameha with that takedown attempt. Vernon Cook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Kamehameha. Kamehameha walks into a stiff left hand from Cook. Cook on the wrong end of a nice jab. Kamehameha avoids the body shot from Cook.
Kamehameha tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kamehameha moves to clinch but Cook breaks away and Cook counters by moving into the clinch. Cook lands an elbow just above Kamehameha 's eye. Cook lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Kamehameha lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like Vernon Cook has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Cook missing with knees to the body.

Cook crunches a lovely knee into Kamehameha's ribcage. Cook lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Cook stops a takedown attempt from Kamehameha.
Cook lands a nice shot to the body. Kamehameha tries to score a body lock takedown but Cook shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kamehameha looks winded! Cook lands a body punch in the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cook presses Kamehameha against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Cook lands a hook that snaps the head of Kamehameha backwards. Cook lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A nice right hand lands inside from Cook. Kamehameha tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Cook drops Kamehameha onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Kamehameha is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Kamehameha is rocked! Cook gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Kamehameha is still on wobbly legs! Can Cook finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cook pushes Kamehameha against the cage. Cook is working some dirty boxing. Cook pushes off with a quick right hook! Kamehameha goes down! Kamehameha tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Cook moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vernon Cook! A very excited looking Vernon Cook made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
