Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frederick Brennan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mariusz Jankowski!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jankowski gets a clinch.
Come on Brennan - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Jankowski jumps guard and drags Brennan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Brennan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

We're going to have a standup here because Frederick Brennan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Brennan enables Jankowski to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brennan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Brennan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jankowski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Brennan gets to mount! Jankowski was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Jankowski's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Jankowski is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Brennan can't fight it off and eventually Jankowski manages to take the fight to the floor. Brennan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Jankowski shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brennan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Brennan is looking for a sweep.

Jankowski tries for a kimura but Brennan is defending well.
Brennan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jankowski off and has taken his back!

Jankowski is having to fend off submission attempts from Brennan, who is looking to sink in the choke. Brennan doesn't have the hooks in though and Jankowski manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Brennan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
