Francisco's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, No Mercy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andreh Francisco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ron Paul!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Paul closes the distance and clinches.
Paul effectively controlling the action here.
Paul lands an elbow just above Francisco 's eye.
Paul scores a nice knee to the body.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Francisco is trying to force a seperation but Paul has the dominant position.
Paul works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Paul lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like Andreh Francisco has been cut.
Paul dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Paul is trying to trip Francisco. He has hold of a leg but Francisco is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Paul persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Francisco had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Paul defends it easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Francisco is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Paul is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Paul stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Francisco swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Paul has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Paul with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Francisco tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Francisco wants to sweep here but Paul controlling him for the moment.

Francisco is trying to maintain the position but Paul is very close to passing his half guard.

Paul seems to be looking for submissions.

Paul trying to mount his opponent but Francisco defends it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Paul is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Francisco has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Paul moves into full mount! Francisco won't be happy about that!

Paul is working for a guillotine from mount but Francisco frees his head quite easily.
Francisco is looking to get to half guard.
Francisco regains half guard.
Francisco tries to get to full guard but Paul has control of the leg.

Paul maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Francisco could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Paul has cracked it and Francisco is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Paul!
