Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fujiwara Takamori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fujiwara Takamori!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Ribeiro !
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Takamori circles away.

and Takamori counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Ribeiro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We're going to have a standup here because Fujiwara Takamori wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Takamori is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ribeiro is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Takamori is pushing down on Ribeiro 's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ribeiro is fighting to maintain full guard but Takamori has managed to sneak the leg through.

Takamori bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Takamori remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Ribeiro is looking to regain half guard here but Takamori keeps moving and retains side control.

Fujiwara Takamori overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Takamori remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Takamori feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ribeiro misses with a strike from the bottom.

Takamori stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Ribeiro feints and as Takamori raises his hands in defense, Ribeiro changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Takamori doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Rodrigo Ribeiro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Fujiwara Takamori is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Takamori, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
