Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tiger JK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandro Font (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tiger JK!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sandro Font!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JK looks for a takedown but Font sprawls well.
A punch combination from Font misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from JK enables Font to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. JK manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
JK is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Font stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. JK swivels though and keeps the full guard.
JK is trying to control the position but Font postures up.
JK keeping moving, preventing Font from controlling successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sandro Font.
Font feints a jab promting JK to slip. Font then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. JK slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Font dips to his left and cracks JK with an uppercut!
Tiger JK seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Font.

Font shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Font was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

JK seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
JK wants to take a breather but Font is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
JK frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Font is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, JK has taken his back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Font is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
JK wants to control but Font is keeping busy.
JK biding his time, looking for the opening.

We're going to have a standup here because Tiger JK wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Font stuffs the takedown attempt from JK. JK gets slowly back to his feet.

JK misses with a takedown attempt - Font sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Font displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from JK.
JK shoots in but Font avoids the takedown attempt easily.
JK tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Font defends well and JK ends up having to push Font into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

JK pulls guard successfully.
Font stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. JK swivels though and keeps the full guard.
JK not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

JK is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
JK wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
JK gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Font counters with a series of strikes. JK will be more careful next time no doubt.


It looks like Tiger JK has been cut.
Font stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Font wants it to stay on the feet.
A right-left combo lands from Font.
JK darts in looking for a takedown but Font gets double underhooks and turns JK into the cage.
Font fails to pull guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
JK drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
JK jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Font walks away with a smile on his face. JK gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tiger JK will probably get the nod.

Font clinches up with JK and pushes him back against the cage.

Font stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Font wants it to stay on the feet.
Font defends well against a solid takedown attempt from JK.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
JK is looking to take this one to the mat.

JK drops down looking for an ankle pick but Font pulls his leg out and moves away.

Font decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Tiger JK overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Font looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - JK's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

JK is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Font is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tiger JK is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for JK, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
