Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Athens Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Falcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falcon has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Athens Walker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Adam Falcon! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Ben Hemmingworth and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Falcon dives in for a single leg takedown but Walker sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Walker is trying to pull guard but Falcon has him pressed against the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Falcon looks winded! The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Falcon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Walker has been working on his balance at Finch Farm, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Falcon. Walker slaps away a takedown attempt from Falcon, before circling back to the center of the mat. Walker shoots in for a double leg but Falcon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Walker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Falcon. Walker forces Falcon back against the cage and clinches. Walker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Walker throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Falcon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Walker is in Falcon's guard. Falcon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walker is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walker trying to control but Falcon is working from the bottom. Walker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker looking to sit in guard and control but Falcon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Walker looking for a sweep. Not yet Walker, not yet. Walker throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Walker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Falcon is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Falcon stands up from Walker's guard - Falcon perhaps looking for a knockout. Walker wants to clinch up but Falcon keeps it at a distance. Walker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Falcon but Falcon pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Athens Walker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Falcon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Walker was well out of range. Poor timing from Falcon.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Falcon ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Falcon doesn't succeed with the takedown and Falcon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Walker misses with a low kick. Falcon swinging wildly here.
Walker is looking to chop away at Falcon's legs. Walker swings away with a leg kick that misses. Walker shoots in but Falcon avoids the takedown attempt easily. Falcon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Falcon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Walker is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Falcon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Walker gets full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Walker is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Athens Walker dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Walker fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Walker wants to clinch up but Falcon keeps it at a distance. Walker tries for a takedown but Falcon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Walker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Falcon tries to avoid it but Walker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Falcon to the ground. Falcon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Athens Walker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Walker moves into the clinch successfully.

Falcon feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Walkers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Falcon is breathing heavily. Walker looks for a takedown but Falcon sprawls well. Walker throws a shot from downtown. Falcon moves away and avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker leaves Falcon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Walker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Falcon as he avoids it easily. Walker looks to clinch and Falcon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Walker shoots in for a double leg but Falcon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Falcon lands a nice shot to the body.
Walker fails with a takedown attempt. Walker looks to land a combination but Falcon avoids it well. Falcon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Walker lands with a hook. Falcon tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Walker fails with a takedown attempt. Walker takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Walker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Falcon. A big left from Falcon misses. Walker misses with a double jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Falcon. Walker has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker pulls guard successfully.
Falcon stopping the sweep attempt from Walker. Walker is working hard here to advance position. Walker pulls Falcon in to control the position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Walker moves in looking to clinch but Falcon pushes him off. Walker tries a head kick but it misses.
Adam Falcon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker shoots in for a double leg but Falcon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Walker slips a jab and a cross from Falcon.
Walker shoots in for a takedown but Falcon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Walker closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Falcon's guard. Falcon pushes Walker off and scrambles back to his feet.
Walker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Falcon avoids it really well and circles away. Nice uppercut lands for Falcon. That snapped Walker's head back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Falcon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Athens Walker will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Walker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Walker creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Falcon sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walker trying to control the action but Falcon is working from the bottom. Falcon struggling a bit here. Walker trying to control the position but Falcon is working away. Walker working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Falcon takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Athens Walker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Falcon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Walker tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Walker has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! An elbow from Walker crashes against the mat.
Walker wants to control but Falcon is keeping him busy. Walker controlling from side mount. The strikes coming from Walker are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Falcon tries to bench press Walker off him but Walker keeps the position. Walker laying and praying for a moment but Falcon takes advantage and regains half guard. Walker is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Falcon manages to get to full guard. Walker trying to control but Falcon is working from the bottom. Falcon tries to land a sweep but no joy. Walker with a nice head shot there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Walker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Falcon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Falcon wants to free his trapped foot but Walker is holding on for dear life with his legs. Walker trying to control but Falcon postures up.
Walker wants to control the action here but instead Falcon manages to pass to full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker gets back to half guard. Walker is trying to stand up here but Falcon is controlling him well. Adam Falcon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Walker is looking to improve his position.
Falcon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Athens Walker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Walker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Falcon is working away from the top position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Athens Walker showed his dominance in that final round. Well Walker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
