Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Last Life! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jay Fall! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Life misses with a combination
and Fall counters with a shoot takedown. Life fights it but they end up in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Life trying to control the position.
Fall prevents Life from getting back to his feet. Life wants to sweep here but Fall controlling him for the moment. Fall chips away with some ground and pound. Fall throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Life works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Fall postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Life keeping full guard, as Fall tries to pass. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fall stops Life from standing up. Fall wants to pass the guard but Life is keeping the position. Fall looking to sit in guard and control but Life gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Fall should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Fall is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fall is on top in guard.
Life keeping moving, preventing Fall from controlling successfully. Fall lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Fall stands up over Life, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Fall is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Fall working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Life working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fall. Fall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fall wants to control from the top but Life keeps moving. Fall distracts Life with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Fall trying to control but Life is working from the bottom. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fall throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fall postures up and lands a big shot to Life's brow. Life on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Life tries to get out of the position. Fall lands a couple of digs. Fall drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fall jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fall postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Life will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fall in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fall slips nicely into half guard. Life won't allow Fall to pass to mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Fall is working for a submission of some sort.
Fall seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Fall is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Life is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fall lands a big elbow - Life is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Fall!
