Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vladislav Kashkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Louis Georgelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vladislav Kashkin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jean Louis Georgelin! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Georgelin doesn't manage to clinch there - Kashkin circles away.
Georgelin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kashkin paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kashkin clinches with his opponent.
Georgelin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kashkin prevents it.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Georgelin wants a takedown.
Kashkin is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Kashkin is pushing Georgelin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Kashkin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Georgelin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jean Louis Georgelin. Georgelin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Georgelin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kashkin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kashkin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kashkin! Georgelin looks gassed! Kashkin tries to move to mount but Georgelin blocks the move with his legs. Kashkin throwing shots but missing, from side control. Georgelin is looking to reverse the position. Kashkin trying to control the action but Georgelin is working from the bottom. Georgelin is looking to reverse the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kashkin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Georgelin is trying to improve his position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kashkin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kashkin drives through and clinches with Georgelin against the cage.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Georgelin can do anything to dispel that myth. Kashkin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Georgelin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kashkin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jean Louis Georgelin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Vladislav Kashkin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Georgelin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
