22 - 12 - 2, fighting out of New York, Pvt. Mullen! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mullen avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Marsden throws a one two combo.
We've been hearing reports that Marsden has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Marsden tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mullen swats him away and circles back towards the center. Marsden throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mullen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Marsden tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Mullen counters with a one-two to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Nice uppercut lands for Marsden. That snapped Mullen's head back.

It looks like Pvt. Mullen has been cut. Sloppy strikes from Marsden. Those never looked like landing. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mullen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mullen misses with a hook. Marsden ducked under it nicely. Marsden connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Marsden lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marsden stalks Mullen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mullen's face. Mullen staggers backwards, shaken. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A punch combination from Marsden misses. Marsden throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Marsden is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Marsden wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Marsden tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mullen swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mullen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marsden moves away.

Marsden throws a right and a left that Mullen avoids nicely. Marsden connects with a right hand. Mullen shakes it off. Marsden really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Marsden throws a body punch but Mullen moves out of range. Mullen misses with an uppercut. Marsden fails to land with a series of punches.

Mullen scores with a big combo that sends Marsden crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but the referee has seen enough as Marsden flops around uncontrollably and he's called an end to the fight! Mullen jumps onto the ropes and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Gross.
