The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sokov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Martinez is trying to defend but Sokov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Sokov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sokov wants to work for an arm triangle but Martinez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Martinez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sokov is working away from the top position though.
