The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Ochsenknecht. Ochsenknecht throws a head kick but Tony moves out of range.

Ochsenknecht throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ochsenknecht misses with a head kick.

Tony catches Ochsenknecht with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Tony fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tony is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Ochsenknecht takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Tony blocks a head kick by Ochsenknecht.
Ochsenknecht looks gassed! Tony swats away the attempt to clinch by Ochsenknecht. Tony lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ochsenknecht gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tony wants to pass the guard but Ochsenknecht is keeping the position.

Tony trying to control the position from guard on top but Ochsenknecht is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tony throwing strikes but missing. Ochsenknecht preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tony postures up in Ochsenknecht's guard and throws a big left but Ochsenknecht blocks it. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ochsenknecht tries to close the distance and clinch but Tony swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ochsenknecht scores with a head kick.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tony takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Tony throwing shots but Ochsenknecht is blocking nicely. Tony is taking a breather. Ochsenknecht says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Tony missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Tony is nestled in close to Ochsenknecht, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tony connects with a nice short shot to Ochsenknecht's temple. Tony is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tony is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Ochsenknecht has managed to free his arm - good work. Tony is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tony missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ochsenknecht wants to improve his position but Tony is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ochsenknecht tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tony swats him away and circles back towards the center. Harry Ochsenknecht seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ochsenknecht moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. James Tony is winning the standup battle so far. Ochsenknecht wants to clinch up but Tony keeps it at a distance. Ochsenknecht tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nice body punch from Tony. Tony shoots for a takedown but Ochsenknecht saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tony moves out of range as Ochsenknecht throws a body kick.

Ochsenknecht is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ochsenknecht tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tony swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ochsenknecht fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tony keeps the fight on the outside. Tony uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ochsenknecht has time to react. Tony blocks a head kick by Ochsenknecht.
Tony shoots in and bounces Ochsenknecht off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Tony passes Ochsenknecht's left leg - he's now in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tony missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ochsenknecht won't allow Tony to pass to mount. Tony has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ochsenknecht moves into full guard.
Tony postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ochsenknecht is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tony, into his guard. Ochsenknecht must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ochsenknecht is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tony looking for a sweep. Not yet Tony, not yet. Tony has his foot on Ochsenknecht's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ochsenknecht works his way back into a safe position though. Tony manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tony thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Ochsenknecht manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Tony trying to control from half guard but Ochsenknecht is working away. Tony is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Tony throwing shots but Ochsenknecht is blocking nicely. Tony trying to control the action but Ochsenknecht is working from the bottom. Ochsenknecht keeps control of the position for the meantime. Ochsenknecht wants to get back to full guard. Ochsenknecht gets full guard. Tony slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Tony dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

It looks like James Tony has been cut. Tony is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Harry Ochsenknecht has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tony looking for submissions off his back. Tony tries to roll over but Ochsenknecht keeps him under control. Ochsenknecht slips a nice elbow through Tony's hands, connecting with Tony's forehead.

A little nod from Ochsenknecht there as he acknowledges the shot. Tony throws a right hand that Ochsenknecht ducks under and follows up with a left that Ochsenknecht also avoids with ease. Ochsenknecht wants to clinch. Ochsenknecht takes the fight into the clinch. Ochsenknecht tries a knee to the head but Tony blocks it.

Tony pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tony has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ochsenknecht. Tony is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Tony lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ochsenknecht backs up against the cage.
Ochsenknecht wants to clinch. Ochsenknecht tries to clinch but Tony moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tony gets the takedown into side control. Tony working the ground and pound. James Tony overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ochsenknecht regains half guard there - taking advantage of Tony's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Ochsenknecht is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. James Tony is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tony not doing much here.
