Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ollie Ritch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huey Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freeman comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Judo Flip kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ollie Ritch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Huey Freeman! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ritch takes a swing at Freeman's ribcage but misses. A decent looking cross lands there for Ritch. Freeman missing with a left hand there. Ritch was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Freeman blocks a head kick by Ritch.
Freeman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ritch misses with a straight right. Ritch drops his hands momentarily and Freeman takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Ritch will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ritch doesn't manage to clinch there - Freeman circles away.
A combination from Ritch does no damage. A looping hook to the body misses from Ritch. Freeman does a little dance to reset his feet. Freeman defending well as Ritch loads up on a big left hand. Ritch swings for the body but Freeman moves out of range.

A punch combination from Freeman misses. Ritch throws a head kick but Freeman moves out of range.
Ritch moves in looking to clinch but Freeman pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick from Ritch lands but Freeman takes it in his stride.
It looks like Huey Freeman has been cut. Ritch throws a hook to the side of Freeman's head but Freeman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Freeman swinging wildly here.
A combination from Freeman does no damage. Freeman has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Ritch misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sloppy strikes from Freeman. Those never looked like landing. Freeman just misses with a punch to the body.
Ritch closes the distance and clinches. Ritch lands a right hand. Ritch trying to stall but Freeman improves his position.
Freeman tries to pull guard but Ritch won't allow it.

I was talking to Ritch's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Ritch just leaning against Freeman, taking a breather. Freeman is trying to pull guard but Ritch has him pressed against the cage. Ollie Ritch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Huey Freeman.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Freeman jumps guard but Ritch stands there with Freeman around his waist. Freeman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action! Freeman has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ritch after a bit of a struggle. Freeman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ritch walks away with a smile on his face. Freeman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ritch misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Freeman counters with a takedown into side control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Ritch tries to get back to half guard but can't. Freeman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ritch has escaped the position, nice work there. Freeman working away. Ritch tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ritch is holding Freeman down, trying to stall. Freeman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ritch knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Freeman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ritch is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Freeman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ritch tries to buck Freeman off but Freeman is having none of it. Freeman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ritch, who protects the arm well. Freeman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ritch is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Freeman wants to control but Ritch is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Ritch's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Freeman throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Freeman working away. I wouldn't like to be where Ritch is right now. Freeman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ritch knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Freeman tries for a kimura but Ritch is defending well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ritch is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Freeman off and has taken his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ollie Ritch will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Huey Freeman's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ritch is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Freeman looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Freeman scores with a decent looking hook. Freeman throws a hook but Ritch avoids it easily. Freeman keeps the fight on the outside. Freeman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ritch. Ritch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Freeman loads up on a big right hand but Ritch slips the punch. Ritch ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Freeman misses with a takedown attempt - Ritch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ritch lands the left hand. Ritch with a nice cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Freeman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ritch. Ritch fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Ritch drives through and clinches with Freeman against the cage.

Ritch makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Freeman tries to pull guard but Ritch holds him up against the cage and eventually Freeman drops back down to his feet.

Freeman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Ritch throws an overhand right that lands on Freeman's shoulder, as Freeman tries to avoid the shot. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ritch, as that shot connected.

and Freeman counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ritch! Freeman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Freeman is trying to get an arm triangle but Ritch is defending well. Ritch is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Ritch trying to hold on to Freeman's head to control him but Freeman postures up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ritch is not content to let Freeman control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Freeman is looking to advance position but Ritch won't allow it. Ritch trying to control but Freeman postures up.
Ritch gets full guard. Freeman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Freeman trying to control but Ritch is working from the bottom. Ritch has his hands on Freeman's head, controlling the position. Ritch is trying to control the position but Freeman postures up. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Freeman wants to control from the top but Ritch keeps moving. Huey Freeman has got the better of the ground game so far.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ritch misses with a straight left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freeman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ritch throws out the jab. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Freeman. Ritch throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ritch tries to get back to half guard but can't. Freeman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ritch tries to buck Freeman off but Freeman is having none of it. Freeman tries for a kimura but Ritch is defending well. Ritch gets back to half guard. Ritch keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ritch is looking for a sweep. Freeman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Freeman seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Freeman is pushing down on Ritch's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ritch is fighting to maintain full guard but Freeman has managed to sneak the leg through. Freeman is thwarting Ritch's attempts to control the position. Freeman is trying to control. Ritch wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Freeman moves nicely into side control. Freeman is trying to get an arm triangle but Ritch is defending well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Freeman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ritch has escaped the position, nice work there. Freeman looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Ritch is avoiding damage well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Freeman in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Ritch bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Freeman moves out of range of the body kick. Ritch misses with an uppercut
and Freeman counters with a shoot takedown. Ritch fights it but they end up in guard. Ritch trying to control the position.
Ritch is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Freeman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Freeman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ritch is keeping the position for now. Ritch has control of Freeman's left arm, preventing Freeman from doing any damage. Ritch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ollie Ritch has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ritch keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

This has been an exciting period of action! Freeman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ritch as he jumps to the side. Ritch shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Ritch fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Freeman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ritch defends it nicely. Ollie Ritch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Huey Freeman. Freeman shoots in for a takedown but Ritch shows good takedown defense. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ritch misses with a head kick.
Freeman dives in for a single leg takedown but Ritch sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Huey Freeman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ritch lands with a short shot to the head. Freeman fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
And that's the end of the fight! Huey Freeman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ritch has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
