Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Calypso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calypso comes to the cage accompanied by Jedi Mind Tricks - Genghis Khan . Tyson has chosen Punch-Out!!! - Theme Song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mac Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Tyson. That's going to slow Calypso down.
Tyson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tyson throws a low kick, looking for Calypso's leg but Calypso calmly moves out of range.
Calypso keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Tyson throws a push kick but Calypso slaps the foot to one side.
Tyson misses with a looping left.
Calypso blocks a low kick nicely.
Tyson lands a body shot.
Tyson cracks Calypso with an open hand slap.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tyson. Calypso does a little dance to reset his feet.

Tyson throws a hook but Calypso blocks it.
Mac Tyson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tyson throws a body punch but Calypso moves out of range.
A slow jab from Tyson misses its intended target.
Tyson connects with a solid leg kick.
Tyson misses the jab.
We've been hearing reports that Calypso has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Tyson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Tyson's corner calls for a 1-2. Tyson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Calypso uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tyson.
Calypso fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tyson avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Calypso. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tyson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Tyson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Calypso looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Tyson is looking to chop away at Calypso's legs.
Calypso throws a lazy uppercut
and Tyson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Calypso blocks a jab.
Calypso misses with a takedown attempt - Tyson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mac Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Calypso tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tyson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Calypso somewhat.

Tyson lands a big right hand that sends Calypso crashing to the mat! Tyson stays standing though and waves Calypso back to his feet!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Calypso. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tyson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tyson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Calypso on the side of the head.
Tyson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tyson misses the shot to the body.
Tyson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mac Tyson dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Calypso shoots in for a takedown but Tyson shows good takedown defense.
Calypso ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nice body punch from Tyson.
Tyson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Calypso manages to avoid it.
Tyson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Calypso might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Tyson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tyson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Calypso manages to avoid it.
Calypso just misses with a punch to the body.
Tyson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Calypso on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Calypso blocks a jab.
Mac Tyson seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Calypso has his takedown stuffed
and Tyson counters with a nice uppercut.
Tyson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Calypso was well out of range. Poor timing from Tyson.
Tyson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Calypso sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Calypso counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Tyson wants to sweep here but Calypso controlling him for the moment.
Tyson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Calypso content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Calypso has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Calypso wants to pass the guard but Tyson is keeping the position.
Calypso postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tyson is on top in guard.
Tyson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Tyson throws a strike but Calypso rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Tyson has momentary wrist control but Calypso slips an elbow through the middle.

Calypso throws a big elbow that misses.

Tyson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Calypso defends it easily.
Calypso missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Tyson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tyson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tyson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Calypso gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tyson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Calypso haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Calypso avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Calypso lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Mac Tyson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Tyson counters with a shoot takedown. Calypso fights it but they end up in guard.
Tyson postures up in Calypso's guard and throws a big left but Calypso blocks it.
Tyson trying to control the position from guard on top but Calypso is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tyson advances to half guard.

Tyson seems to be looking for submissions.
Tyson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Calypso is in trouble now - Tyson has advanced to mount!

Calypso is rocked!


It looks like Jack Calypso has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tyson trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Tyson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Calypso in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Oh Calypso is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tyson softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Calypso is out cold! Tyson jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mac Tyson!
An out of breath Mac Tyson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
