Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Drogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karl Drogo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drogo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Drogo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cannon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Drogo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Drogo on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Drogo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Drogo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cannon checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Drogo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Drogo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Drogo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Cannon back to the cage. Drogo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Cannon sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Drogo's defenses. It connects perfectly with Drogo's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
