The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman dodges the punch combination from Da Silva.
Freeman misses with a series of wild punches.
Da Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.
Da Silva ducks under a wild hook from Freeman.
Da Silva lands a lovely overhand right.
Da Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Freeman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Freeman.
Freeman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Freeman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Da Silva's head.
Da Silva wants to stand up but Freeman is controlling him.
Freeman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Freeman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Da Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Freeman has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Da Silva is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Freeman yanks on the arm and Da Silva is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Freeman.
