Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renat Boldyrev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Renat Boldyrev is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Renat Boldyrev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Barnett! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boldyrev with a lazy takedown attempt and Barnett holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Boldyrev jumps guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Boldyrev is trying to control the position but Barnett postures up. Boldyrev can't keep his opponent in guard - Barnett advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Barnett content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Boldyrev is trying to maintain the position but Barnett is very close to passing his half guard. Barnett moves into full mount! Boldyrev won't be happy about that! Barnett connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnett controlling from mount. Barnett trying to control but he's not successful this time. Barnett wants to take his opponent's back but Boldyrev doesn't allow it. Boldyrev is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Boldyrev in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Barnett tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Barnett controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barnett's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Boldyrev regains half guard. Boldyrev trying to hold on to Barnett's head to control him but Barnett postures up.
Barnett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boldyrev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barnett is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mark Barnett wasn't active enough on the ground. Boldyrev looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Barnett is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Barnett is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Boldyrev pulls his head out easily. Boldyrev is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Barnett is trying to stand up here but Boldyrev is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boldyrev is trying to control the action in half guard but Barnett is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Boldyrev missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Barnett is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Boldyrev is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Barnett has managed to free his arm - good work. Boldyrev wants to control but Barnett is keeping him busy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Barnett is looking to improve his position.

Barnett is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Boldyrev asserts his dominance and retains side control. Boldyrev tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Barnett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Boldyrev pushes Barnett against the cage but Barnett circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Boldyrev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Barnett looking to score a takedown here. Boldyrev is defending well but Barnett drives through and ends up in Boldyrev's guard. Barnett wants to pass the guard but Boldyrev is keeping the position. Barnett is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Boldyrev keeping moving, preventing Barnett from controlling successfully.

Mark Barnett has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Boldyrev shoots for a double leg takedown but Barnett sprawls well. He's pushed Boldyrev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Barnett closes the distance and pushes Boldyrev back into the cage. Barnett wants to break free but Boldyrev has control.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boldyrev is on top in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mark Barnett was stalling too much, according to the referee. Barnett throws a right and a left that Boldyrev avoids nicely. Barnett takes a swing at Boldyrev's ribcage but misses. Boldyrev bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Barnett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Barnett looks to land a combination but Boldyrev avoids it well. Barnett shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Barnett was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Boldyrev is trying to control Barnett's posture but Barnett avoids it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Barnett decides to take the fight back to the feet. Renat Boldyrev has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mark Barnett is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boldyrev fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Barnett checks it well.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Barnett comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Barnett has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
