The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Darius Henderson and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khalifa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from deFunes.
Khalifa shoots in for a takedown but deFunes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Khalifa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from deFunes.
A jab from Khalifa does it's job there.
deFunes looks to score with a jab to the body but Khalifa is just out of range.
Khalifa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Khalifa gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Khalifa avoids a kick to the body.
deFunes darts in and clinches Khalifa up against the cage.
deFunes working some nice short punches in the clinch.
deFunes misses with a short punch on the inside.
Khalifa wants a takedown.
Khalifa is working for takedown but deFunes is calmly controlling the position for now.

deFunes lands with a short punch from the clinch.
deFunes has Khalifa pushed against the cage.

Khalifa is trying to work for a single leg takedown but deFunes pulls him back up using the underhooks.

A quick uppercut on the inside from deFunes.
deFunes lands with a left to the head.
deFunes creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Khalifa with a big uppercut! Khalifa tries to clinch up but deFunes pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Khalifa to the mat! Khalifa covers up and deFunes unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Luis deFunes!
Luis deFunes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
