Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quentin Gerard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stewart Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter has chosen The Drunken Scotsman as his entrance music. The key to victory for Quentin Gerard has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Quentin Gerard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stewart Hunter! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gerard tries to clinch up but Hunter circles away and keeps his distance. Gerard tries to close the distance and clinch but Hunter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hunter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gerard.
Hunter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gerard moves in looking to clinch but Hunter pushes him off. Hunter throws a big shot that misses. Gerard looks to score with a jab to the body but Hunter is just out of range. Gerard darts in and clinches Hunter up against the cage. Gerard breaks from the clinch.
Hunter just misses with a punch to the body.
Gerard checks a low kick from Hunter. Gerard gets caught napping as Hunter dives in and scores a takedown. Gerard manages to retain guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Gerard is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gerard had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hunter defends it easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gerard is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hunter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gerard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gerard trying to control the position here. Gerard keeping full guard, as Hunter tries to pass. Gerard trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Hunter scoring with punches to the head and body. Gerard preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hunter postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Hunter with a flurry of punches that miss. Hunter throws an elbow that misses. Gerard uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hunter's guard. Nice move by Gerard!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter wants to sweep but no luck. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gerard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gerard looking to pass the guard. Gerard wants to control from the top but Hunter keeps moving. Gerard is fighting to break Hunter's control of his arms but Hunter is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Quentin Gerard wasn't doing enough on the ground. Hunter misses with a hook to the body
and Gerard counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hunter is looking to break free of the clinch but Gerard has double underhooks. Gerard pulls guard successfully.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Gerard has momentary wrist control but Hunter slips an elbow through the middle. Gerard tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hunter postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gerard is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gerard is breathing heavily. Hunter keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gerard's head. Hunter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gerard can't keep his opponent in guard - Hunter advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Hunter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hunter is thwarting Gerard's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hunter connects with a nice short shot to Gerard's temple. Hunter scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hunter controlling the action here. Hunter looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Gerard is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hunter scores with a couple of nice shots. Hunter is looking to pass Gerard's guard but actually Gerard recovers to full guard. Hunter looking to pass the guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hunter cracks Gerard with a solid left hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stewart Hunter dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hunter throws a low kick but Gerard avoids it. Gerard looks for a takedown but Hunter sprawls well. Gerard dives in and grabs Hunter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hunter pushes down on Gerard's head and hops out. Hunter throws a poor cross that misses
and Gerard counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hunter struggles to land a body shot inside as Gerard controls his hands.
Hunter tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Gerard is trying to pull guard but Hunter has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quentin Gerard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gerard misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A head punch on the inside from Hunter fails to land. Gerard manages to break the clinch.
Hunter misses with a hook. Quentin Gerard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hunter misses the jab. Hunter thows a body shot but no joy. Gerard fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter misses with a hook. Gerard ducked under it nicely. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gerard moves out of range of the strikes. Gerard checks a low kick from Hunter. Gerard fails with the takedown and Hunter counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hunter scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Nice strikes from Hunter there. Gerard on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gerard tries to get out of the position. Ground and pound from Hunter. Gerard is refusing to be controlled, as Hunter sits in half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hunter lands strikes from half guard. Gerard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hunter is working away from the top position though. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hunter lands a nice short elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gerard has hold of Hunter's hands but Hunter slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Hunter is looking to take a break and control but Gerard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hunter is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hunter is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hunter winds up and cracks Gerard with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Stewart Hunter has got the better of the ground game so far. Hunter uses his free foot to push down on Gerard's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gerard. Hunter lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gerard hang on?
Gerard is rocked! Hunter scoring with strikes but Gerard is staying in there. Oh Gerard is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunter lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hunter loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gerard scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Hunter land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Hunter stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stewart Hunter! Stewart Hunter took some time post fight to say the following; 'Looks like this lad that they put me in the cage to maul may be better suited for another line of work! Bring on the next one, because they are all going to fall to The Loch Ness Monster!'.
