Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blagoi Mladenov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Blagoi Mladenov!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman avoids the head kick by Mladenov.

Mladenov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mladenov leaves Coleman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mladenov. Coleman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mladenov looks to throw the jab but Coleman is out of range.
Blagoi Mladenov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Coleman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Mladenov is looking to get back to is feet but Coleman passes into side control.

Coleman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mladenov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Coleman creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mladenov sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Coleman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mladenov's guard.
Coleman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mladenov's head.
Coleman stands up over Mladenov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Mladenov wants to get back to his feet but Coleman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Coleman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mladenov dives on top into guard.

Coleman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mladenov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mladenov is looking to stand up but Coleman won't let him.

Coleman is trying to hold Mladenov in close to prevent damage but Mladenov has managed to pass into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Coleman wants to sweep but no luck.

Coleman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mladenov defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Mladenov is now in half guard.

That's time! Coleman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Coleman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mladenov tries to avoid it but Coleman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mladenov to the ground. Mladenov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coleman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
