Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Austin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Dantas! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Austin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dantas to the ground. Austin is now in Dantas's guard. Dantas controls Austin momentarily but Austin frees himself. Dantas looking for a sweep. Not yet Dantas, not yet. Austin content to stall in guard here. Dantas has his hands on Austin's head, controlling the position. Dantas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Austin manages to get himself to full guard.
Dantas slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Dantas stands and throws Austin's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dantas lands some shots froms side control. Dantas is looking to take a break and control but Austin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dantas moves into full mount! Dantas won't let Austin get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Austin is trying to escape the mount.
Dantas tries to control but Austin wriggling away. Dantas breaks from Austin's wrist control and lands an elbow. Austin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Austin tries to get out of the position. Austin is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dantas lands a couple of good shots and Austin has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Well, with Dantas on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Austin is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Dantas connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Austin to escape the position.
Austin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Austin can't escape the position.
Austin is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Dantas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dantas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The referee is taking a good look at Austin as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Dantas!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Austin is taking damage to the body and head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dantas controls the position. Dantas wants to control but Austin is keeping busy. Dantas lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Dantas dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Austin fails with the takedown and Dantas shoots in, scooping Austin off his feet. Dantas is holding his opponent over his shoulder. He slams Austin to the mat and Austin is in big trouble! Dantas is landing strikes to his unconscious foe and the ref dives in to end the fight! Dantas is celebrating with his corner and rightfully so.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Jose Dantas! After winning the bout, Jose Dantas thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
