Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Suleman Pokong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vega has chosen You Never Can Tell as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Suleman Pokong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vincent Vega!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pokong moves in looking to clinch but Vega pushes him off.
Vega avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Vega bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pokong's head backwards.
Pokong lands a body shot.
Pokong throws a sloppy head kick
and Vega counters with a three punch combo that has Pokong backing up. Pokong nods at Vega to acknowledge the strikes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pokong.
Pokong throws a push kick but Vega slaps the foot to one side.
Pokong gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Pokong looks to throw the jab but Vega is out of range.

and Vega counters with a nice body shot.
Suleman Pokong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vega connects with a jab.
Pokong misses with a low kick.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pokong swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Vega counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Vega throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pokong stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pokong wants to clinch
and Vega counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Pokong misses with a wild body shot.
Pokong tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Vega counters with a two punch combo.
Vega scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Vega is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Pokong rather than just go for the knockout.
Vega uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pokong.
Vega dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pokong definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Pokong takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

and Vega makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vega lands a right hook to the body.
Vega's coach down at Blitzkrieg Fighting Systems: Ground was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Vega's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Pokong with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vega to score with a decent uppercut.
Pokong misses with a hook to the body
and Vega counters with a left and a right that stings Pokong.
Pokong misses with a wild body shot.
Pokong throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vega.
Pokong is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pokong shoots and misses
and Vega connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pokong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vega manages to avoid it.
Pokong moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Pokong closes the distance looking to clinch
and Vega connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vega throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Pokong colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Vega as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Pokong is left battered and dazed whilst Vega and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vincent Vega!
Vincent Vega decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
