Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary Groper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Van Decent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Decent will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Groper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Van Decent!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groper takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Groper drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Decent tries to improve position but can't.
Groper is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Decent knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Groper swings around for an armbar but Decent sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Groper's guard.
Groper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Decent doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Decent manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Groper has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Decent is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Groper.

Groper bucks up and tries to throw Decent off but instead Decent has got his back!
Decent has the hooks in. Groper is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Decent lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Groper wants to get back to his feet.
Decent keeps control of the position as Groper tries to break free.

Groper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Decent slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Groper is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Decent is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Decent has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Groper throws a combination that misses

Decent tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Groper paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Groper throws a head kick that misses.
Groper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Decent swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Groper drives through with a takedown into guard.
Groper passes into half guard.
Groper winds up and cracks Decent with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Groper seems to be looking for submissions.
Decent is looking to improve his position.
Groper is looking to advance position but Decent won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Groper tries to stand and escape but Decent is controlling the position.
Decent wants to improve his position but Groper is controlling well.
Groper wants to work for an arm triangle but Decent is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Groper is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Decent has managed to free his arm - good work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Decent tries to close the distance and clinch up but Groper swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Decent tries to clinch but Groper is having none of it.
Decent drives through and clinches with Groper against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Decent fails to land.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Groper changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Decent fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Decent pushes Groper up against the cage in a clinch.
Decent gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Groper.
Decent trying to stall but Groper improves his position.
Decent lands a right hand.
Decent avoiding damage.
Decent tries to land a knee to the head but Groper blocks with his arms.
Groper can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gary Groper. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Groper is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Decent lands a hook that snaps the head of Groper backwards.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Decent tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Decent is fighting off a takedown attempt but Groper is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Decent to the mat. Decent regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Groper stands up and waves to Decent to follow him.
Groper takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Groper has managed to clinch.
Decent digs a right hand underneath Groper's ribcage. Groper let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Decent can't get the takedown.
Groper turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Groper manages to end up in side control.
Groper stands up.
Decent looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Decent throws a head kick but Groper moves out of range.
Decent gets caught flat footed, as Groper shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Groper postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Decent is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Groper, into his guard.
Groper looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Decent is defending well. Groper quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Decent has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Groper celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
