Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dark Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Gavilan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dark Hunter!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kid Gavilan!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gavilan loads up on a big right hand but Hunter slips the punch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gavilan. That's going to slow Hunter down.
Gavilan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Hunter swings for the body but Gavilan moves out of range.
Gavilan catches Hunter with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Hunter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hunter on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gavilan. Gavilan obviously looking to wear him down.
Hunter takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gavilan. That's going to slow Hunter down.
Gavilan is looking to slow Hunter down with leg kicks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hunter doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gavilan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hunter scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gavilan doesn't seem bothered though.
Gavilan lands a glancing blow to the side of Hunter's head.
Hunter takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Hunter is looking to clinch but Gavilan is avoiding it.
Hunter chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gavilan can pounce on him.
Gavilan throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gavilan looks to land a right hand but Hunter moved out of range.
Hunter takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gavilan keeps the fight on the outside.
Dark Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A head kick misses from Gavilan.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gavilan.
Gavilan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hunter is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Gavilan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hunter on his heels. He'll look to pass Hunter's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gavilan pushes down on Hunter's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Gavilan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
It looks like Gavilan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hunter wants to control but Gavilan is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We're going to have a standup here because Dark Hunter wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hunter takes the fight into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gavilan tries a body shot but Hunter blocks it.
Hunter misses with a body punch.
Hunter throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gavilans head.
Gavilan slowing the pace effectively.
Gavilan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hunter's elbow.
Gavilan controlling the action here for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hunter can't find room to land a body shot as Gavilan controls the action.
A short left from Hunter.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Gavilan.
Gavilan taking a breather.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hunter.
Gavilan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch but Gavilan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hunter smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Hunter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gavilan throws a shot from downtown. Hunter moves away and avoids it.
Gavilan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Hunter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hunter scores with a nice head shot.
Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gavilan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gavilan throws a head kick that Hunter semi-blocks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gavilan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hunter moves to clinch but Gavilan breaks away
and Gavilan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gavilan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Hunter walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hunter misses with a hook.
Hunter takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Hunter is rocked!
Gavilan lands with a right and another and another! Hunter is in big trouble! Gavilan lands again and this time it's lights out for Hunter! A quality knockout there for Gavilan.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kid Gavilan!
Kid Gavilan is the new lightweight champion!
