Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alex Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Rhodes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Pope! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rhodes misses with a jab, cross combination.

Rhodes throws a series of punches but Pope avoids them all with ease. Rhodes misses with a few strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pope fails to take his opponent's back. Pope tries to control but Rhodes wriggling away. Rhodes on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rhodes tries to get out of the position. Rhodes can't escape the position.
Pope stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Rhodes throws a big shot that misses. No joy there for Rhodes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
No luck for Pope with that takedown attempt. Rhodes throws a nice looking combination but Pope bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Pope dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Pope wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Pope shoots for a double leg takedown but Rhodes sprawls well. He's pushed Pope's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rhodes stalks Pope and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pope's face. Pope staggers backwards, shaken. Rhodes misses with a two punch combination.

Rhodes throws a right and a left that both miss. Pope closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rhodes circles away. Rhodes walks into a stiff left hand from Pope. Pope drives through and clinches with Rhodes against the cage.
Pope gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Pope sitting in guard, not really doing much. Pope is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rhodes wants to get back to his feet but Pope is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Rhodes is trying to control the position but Pope postures up. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pope forces Rhodes back against the cage and clinches. Pope breaks the clinch.
Pope shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rhodes pinned against the cage. Rhodes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Alex Rhodes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Pope.

Pope throws a leg kick which misses Rhodes's front leg but catches the back leg as Rhodes tries to avoid it. Pope avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rhodes misses with a few strikes there.
Pope drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pope lands some shots froms side control. Pope trying to control the action but Rhodes is working from the bottom. Pope is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Rhodes will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Marcus Pope showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pope decides to stand and escape the position. A jab from Pope misses. Pope tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rhodes swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rhodes swats away the attempt to clinch by Pope. and Pope holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Pope ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pope no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Rhodes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pope is proving hard to escape from. Pope is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pope looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. It looks like Pope is going to stand back up.
Pope wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rhodes keeps working. Rhodes is looking to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Pope seems to be working for a kimura but Rhodes defends the submission attempt. Pope is pressing down on Rhodes's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rhodes is holding on for now. Pope is keen to just control but Rhodes is a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! Marcus Pope comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pope has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
