PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salem Espinoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Drake - Forever. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a head kick that Espinoza semi-blocks.
Jonny Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Espinoza wants to clinch.

Espinoza closes the distance and clinches.
Espinoza doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Espinoza is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jackson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Espinoza darts in and clinches Jackson up against the cage.
Espinoza throws a knee to the head but misses.
Jackson tries to score a body lock takedown but Espinoza shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Espinoza, pushing him back against the cage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jonny Jackson will probably get the nod.

Espinoza tries to stall but Jackson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Espinoza shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.
Jackson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Espinoza tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Jackson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Espinoza is on top in guard.

Jackson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jackson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Jackson has control of Espinoza's left arm, preventing Espinoza from doing any damage.

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Espinoza can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Espinoza gets to his feet - Jackson follows without any prompting.
Jackson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Jackson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Espinoza is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
