Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Capwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Capwell's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Haunted - 99. Steel comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Immortal Technique-Point of no return kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

28 - 25 - 1, fighting out of New York, Cory Steel! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel ducks under a wild hook from Capwell. Capwell dodges the punch combination from Steel.
Capwell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Capwell ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Capwell walks into a jab. Nice cross by Capwell. Steel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Capwell. Capwell ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Capwell's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Capwell duly obliges.
It looks like Cory Steel has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Steel throws a right and a left that Capwell avoids nicely. Some wild striking there from Steel.

Capwell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Steel told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Capwell winds up and cracks Steel with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Steel is trying to stand back up but Capwell is controlling him
We've been hearing good reports from Capwell's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Capwell is trying to control the action in half guard but Steel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Nice body punch from Capwell. Capwell blocks a jab. Capwell lands a nice looking body shot.
Steel looks winded! Capwell has Steel up against the cage in a clinch.
Capwell tries to score a body lock takedown but Steel shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Steel working hard to break the clinch. Steel tries to circle away but Capwell has him pinned against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Capwell.
Capwell lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Capwell lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Steel backwards. Capwell tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A right hand to the body from Capwell.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Capwell creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Capwell tries for a takedown. No joy.
Capwell throws a head punch that misses. A head punch blocked on the inside by Capwell. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Capwell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Cory Steel's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A combination from Steel does no damage. Capwell jabs Steel right on the nose. Steel blinks but takes it well. Capwell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steel's waist but Steel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Capwell off to one side. Steel jabs at Capwell's body. Capwell lands with a right hand. Steel walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Capwell is looking to wear down Steel with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Capwell lands a jab-cross combination. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Steel throws a body punch but Capwell moves out of range. Capwell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Steel. Capwell takes a body punch but keeps moving. Capwell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Steel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Steel wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Capwell trying to control the position but Steel is working away. Steel is working to avoid the ground and pound but Capwell connects with a decent elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Steel is trying to buck Capwell off. Steel is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Steel wants to get back to his feet but Capwell is dominant here and he's now got Steel's back! Capwell has Steel flattened out and is raining down punches. Mason Capwell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Steel is taking damage to the body and head. Steel takes a big shot to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Steel holding both Capwell 's hands and preventing any damage. Capwell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Steel can do to turn this around? Steel is breathing heavily. Capwell lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Capwell is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Steel up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Capwell connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Steel to escape the position.

Steel is rocked! Capwell controls the position. Steel is still in real trouble! Can Capwell finish him? Steel looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Steel seems to have recovered his senses. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Capwell.
