Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Lakanik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laph Roaig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roaig has chosen The Doors - Alabama song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John Lakanik is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Lakanik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Laph Roaig! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lakanik misses with an attempted mid kick.
Roaig bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lakanik's head backwards.
It looks like John Lakanik has been cut. Roaig swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Roaig misses with a looping left. Roaig scores with a jab to the head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Roaig has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Roaig throws a head kick but Lakanik moves out of range.

Lakanik is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lakanik fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Roaig, pushing him back against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Lakanik missing with knees to the body.
A nice right hand lands inside from Roaig. Lakanik manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Lakanik is trying to break free. Lakanik is trying to force a seperation but Roaig has the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lakanik breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Roaig takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Laph Roaig has been cut. Lakanik wants to clinch up but Roaig keeps it at a distance. Roaig misses with the combination.
Lakanik scores with a push kick. Lakanik shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Roaig manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lakanik on his heels. He'll look to pass Lakanik's guard now, I'm sure. Lakanik is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Roaig is controlling him. Roaig trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lakanik controls Roaig momentarily but Roaig frees himself. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lakanik keeping full guard, as Roaig tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lakanik wants to sweep here but Roaig controlling him for the moment. Lakanik knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roaig on the ground. Lakanik keeping moving, preventing Roaig from controlling successfully. Lakanik looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lakanik is looking to land body kicks. Lakanik lands a body shot.

You can see the frustration on Roaig's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Roaig gets back to half guard. Lakanik with the ground and pound but Roaig uses the opportunity to regain guard. Roaig is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lakanik is aware though and is defending well. Roaig is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lakanik tries to free his leg and advance position but Roaig is retaining full guard. Lakanik postures up.

Roaig is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lakanik working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Roaig's head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Roaig wants to sweep here but Lakanik controlling him for the moment. Lakanik wants to control from the top but Roaig keeps moving. Lakanik connects with a couple of short punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Laph Roaig will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Roaig lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roaig avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roaig tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lakanik was well out of range. Poor timing from Roaig. John Lakanik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice straight punches there by Roaig. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Roaig. Good exchange - Roaig coming out on top. A head kick misses from Lakanik. Roaig tests Lakanik's chin there with a solid looking shot. Lakanik tries to clinch there but Roaig circles away.
Lakanik instigates a clinch. Roaig is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Roaig lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Roaig seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lakanik does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lakanik keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lakanik manages to escape and get back to his feet!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roaig is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Lakanik enables Roaig to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lakanik manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Roaig is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lakanik is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lakanik has escaped and now he's on top! Roaig preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lakanik wants to stand but Roaig has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Roaig throws a nice looking combination but Lakanik bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Roaig circles away from the clinch attempt.

Roaig takes a kick to the side of the head. A looping hook to the body misses from Lakanik. Roaig does a little dance to reset his feet. Lakanik keeps Roaig at a distance using the push kick. A head kick misses from Lakanik. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lakanik takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Roaig. Roaig lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Lakanik scores with a leg kick.

Roaig is still trying to improve position. John Lakanik has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lakanik keeping moving, preventing Roaig from controlling successfully. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lakanik tries to bum rush Roaig with a series of wild strikes but Roaig uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Roaig shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lakanik napping and manages to drive through into side control! Lakanik tries to buck Roaig off but Roaig is having none of it. Laph Roaig is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Roaig trying to control the action but Lakanik is working from the bottom. Roaig just content to control the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Laph Roaig comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Roaig winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
