Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mata Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kornus Mansus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hughes cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Hughes has control of Mansus's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mansus regains control of the situation pretty easily.

You get the feeling that Mansus really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Hughes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Mata Hughes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hughes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hughes definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The referee warns Mansus that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Hughes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mansus is trying to defend but Hughes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hughes connects with a nice short shot to Mansus's temple.

Hughes seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mansus for as long as he can get away with.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Well Hughes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
