Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dick Dungheap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nelson Pervis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pervis has chosen Mistah F.A.B. - N.E.W. Oakland as his entrance music. Nelson Pervis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nelson Pervis!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Pervis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Pervis has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Dungheap regains guard immediately.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Pervis throwing strikes from guard but Dungheap blocks nicely.
Pervis trying to control but Dungheap is working from the bottom.
Pervis with a flurry of punches that miss.
Dungheap is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pervis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Pervis is pushing down on Dungheap's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dungheap is fighting to maintain full guard but Pervis has managed to sneak the leg through.
Pervis wants to take a breather but Dungheap is having none of it.
Pervis not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Dungheap is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pervis scores with a couple of nice shots.

Dungheap is staying active underneath Pervis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Pervis lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Dungheap keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Pervis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dungheap's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pervis is nestled in close to Dungheap, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Dungheap wants to get back to his feet.
Dungheap avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pervis.

Pervis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dungheap's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pervis wants to take a breather but Dungheap is having none of it.
Pervis takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pervis thows a huge punch but Dungheap dodges it nicely.
Dungheap is controlling Pervis's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Pervis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pervis is trying to control the action in half guard but Dungheap is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Pervis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Dungheap on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Pervis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pervis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dungheap keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Pervis passes to full mount!
Pervis misses with a head shot.

Pervis connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Pervis unloading with bombs!


It looks like Dick Dungheap has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pervis looking to finish Dungheap with some ground and pound. This is bad for Dungheap!


Dungheap is rocked!
Dungheap is looking to improve his position but Pervis isn't that keen on the idea.
Oh Dungheap is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pervis putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Pervis connects with a bit shot that sees Dungheap covering up! More strikes from Pervis and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Pervis is our winner by TKO!

A less than humble Nelson Pervis misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
