Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Clegane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan has chosen Mundian To Bach Ke as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gregor Clegane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ali Khan!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clegane swinging wildly here.
Clegane looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Khan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Clegane throws a right and a left that Khan avoids nicely.
Clegane misses with a double jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Khan.
Gregor Clegane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan shoots for a double leg takedown but Clegane sprawls well. He's pushed Khan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Clegane throws a right hand that Khan ducks under and follows up with a left that Khan also avoids with ease.
Khan goes for a double leg but Clegane avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Clegane continues to drive forward.
Gregor Clegane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ali Khan.

Khan goes for a double leg but Clegane avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Clegane continues to drive forward.

Clegane wants to stand but Khan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Khan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clegane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Clegane manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Clegane wants to get up but he can't break Khan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Khan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clegane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Clegane manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Khan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Clegane defends well.

Khan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Clegane is aware though and is defending well.

Clegane wants to stand and escape but instead Khan has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Clegane is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Khan is controlling him.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ali Khan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Clegane throws a right hand that Khan ducks under and follows up with a left that Khan also avoids with ease.

A slow jab from Khan misses its intended target.
Khan looks to score with a jab to the body but Clegane is just out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Khan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Clegane defends well and Khan ends up having to push Clegane into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Gregor Clegane will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

so Khan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Clegane is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Khan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Clegane wants to break the clinch but can't.

Khan is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Clegane has his hands clasped together but Khan extends and breaks Clegane's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Khan.
