Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between QL Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramond Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, QL Hicks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ramond Garcia! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia is looking to clinch. Garcia throws a head kick but Hicks moves out of range.
Hicks scores a takedown into full mount! Hicks with a couple of short strikes. Hicks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hicks looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hicks cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hicks controlling the position easily from mount. Hicks working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Garcia is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hicks with good strikes from the mount here! Garcia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hicks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hicks putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Garcia tries to lock up and control but Hicks gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hicks cracks Garcia with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hicks avoids the attempt from Garcia to control. Hicks swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Garcia is now in Hicks's guard. A big mistake from Hicks there, giving up the dominant position! Hicks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hicks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hicks manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hicks scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Garcia?
Garcia tries to reverse the position but Hicks maintains control. Hicks controlling from mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Garcia gets back to half guard. Hicks winds up and cracks Garcia with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hicks is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Garcia is in trouble now - Hicks has advanced to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hicks is in the full mount, landing strikes. Hicks postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Garcia looks a forlorn figure.
Garcia tries to hold on but Hicks pushes him away. Garcia looks gassed! Garcia working to try and regain half guard.
BOOM! Hicks connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Garcia is trying desperately to improve position. Hicks dominating with strikes here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hicks looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Hicks is in the full mount, landing strikes. Hicks breaks from Garcia's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Garcia is rocked! Garcia has left one of his arms exposed and Hicks doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Garcia screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). QL Hicks!
