Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Hugo Decoste (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Archie Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stewart is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Frightened Rabbit - The Twist. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hugo Decoste! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Archie Stewart! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stewart misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Decoste.
Decoste jabbing away but nothing is landing. A telegraphed right hand from Decoste misses the target. Stewart wants to clinch. We've been informed that Stewart has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Decoste just misses with a punch to the body.
Decoste lands with an uppercut that bounces Stewart off the ropes and back into range. Stewart takes one to the side of the head.
A left lands for Decoste. Decoste throws a shot from downtown. Stewart moves away and avoids it. Decoste lands a nice hook to Stewart's body. Stewart takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Stewart staying out of range there. Hugo Decoste seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Decoste lands a jab to Stewart's midsection. Decoste tries to clinch up. Stewart staying out of range there. Stewart is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Decoste. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Decoste misses with a body shot.
Decoste's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Stewart connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Decoste scrambles back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Decoste scores with a jab to the body. Decoste looks to throw the jab but Stewart is out of range. We've been told by Decoste's head coaches at Untitled that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Stewart ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Decoste moves away. Decoste jabs at Stewart's body. Decoste throws a series of strikes that have Stewart backpedaling.
Stewart fails with an attempt to clinch.
Stewart throws a hook but Decoste avoids it easily. Decoste tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stewart was well out of range. Poor timing from Decoste. A swing and a miss from Stewart. Stewart pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Decoste swings widly with a right hand
enabling Stewart to counter with a crisp jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Stewart drops his hands momentarily and Decoste takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Stewart tries to clinch up. Stewart's jab looks to have found its range, popping Decoste under the eye. Decoste ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Decoste scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stewart doesn't seem bothered though. Decoste tries to clinch up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stewart throws a right hand that Decoste ducks under and follows up with a left that Decoste also avoids with ease. Decoste takes one to the chin there. Decoste misses with a wild body shot. Decoste scores with a jab to the body. Stewart takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Stewart throws a jab when Decoste was well out of range. Decoste scores with a nice head shot. Decoste cracks Stewart with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Stewart is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Stewart is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Stewart could not beat the count!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Hugo Decoste! Hugo Decoste decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
