Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Gemson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Gemson! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gemson swats away the attempt to clinch by Garcia. Gemson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Garcia misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gemson paws at him with a jab and circles away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gemson. Garcia looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Garcia is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Gemson is looking to control Garcia's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gemson avoid being mounted? Garcia wants to pass to mount but Gemson is defending the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garcia wants to stand up but Gemson is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice strikes from Garcia there. Garcia with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Garcia wants to take a breather but Gemson is having none of it. Garcia is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gemson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Garcia thows a huge punch but Gemson dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia trying to control from half guard but Gemson is working away. Gemson wants to control but Garcia is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Garcia throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Garcia stops Gemson from getting back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Gemson wants to get back to his feet. Garcia is trying to control. Gemson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jose Garcia just wasn't active enough. Garcia dodges the punch combination from Gemson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia fails in his attempt to clinch. Garcia has a takedown stuffed. Garcia shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gemson pinned against the cage. Gemson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Garcia. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gemson leaves Garcia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Garcia tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gemson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Garcia throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gemson's waist but Gemson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Garcia off to one side. Garcia is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gemson blocks a head kick by Garcia.
Gemson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gemson lands in his opponent's guard. Gemson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Gemson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gemson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Garcia wants to sweep here but Gemson controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Garcia dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gemson checks a leg kick nicely. Gemson shoots in for a takedown but Garcia shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Garcia throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Garcia jabbing away but nothing is landing. Garcia wants to clinch up but Gemson keeps it at a distance. Gemson tries to clinch but Garcia is having none of it. Garcia shoots in looking for a takedown but Gemson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Garcia's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia swats away the attempt to clinch by Gemson. Garcia looks for a takedown but Gemson sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Garcia. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Garcia. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Garcia walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Garcia. Garcia shoots for a double leg takedown but Gemson sprawls well. He's pushed Garcia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Gemson takes the fight into the clinch. Gemson works on Garcia's body with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gemson with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Garcia tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gemson avoids it. Gemson blocks an elbow strike from Garcia.
Gemson breaks from the clinch.
Garcia shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Garcia showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gemson.
Garcia will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Garcia tries to clinch but Gemson is having none of it. Jose Garcia is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fight moves into the clinch position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gemson keeps control of Garcia as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia drags the fight down to the ground.
Garcia is trying to keep Gemson in close.
Gemson wants to pass the guard but Garcia is keeping the position. Gemson keeps trying to improve his position. Gemson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Garcia, up you get! Garcia shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gemson counters with a series of strikes. Garcia will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garcia shoots in and drives through. Gemson sprawls well. Gemson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Gemson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gemson works his foot free and advances to mount. Garcia is wriggling around trying to escape.
Garcia in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Garcia is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

David Gemson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Sloppy strikes from Garcia. Those never looked like landing. Garcia shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Garcia was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Gemson is looking to regain half guard here but Garcia keeps moving and retains side control. Garcia wants to control but Gemson is keeping him busy. Gemson is trying to improve his position. Gemson managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Garcia.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gemson is looking for a sweep. Garcia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Gemson is defending against the submission attempts here by Garcia.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gemson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gemson wants to control but Garcia is keeping busy.
Garcia is trying to control. Gemson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Garcia slows the pace down in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gemson is trying to get back to full guard. Gemson has his hands clasped together around Garcia's back. He's all about the action. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Jose Garcia wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Garcia shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gemson as he avoids it easily. Garcia tries to clinch but Gemson is having none of it. Garcia tries to clinch and Gemson finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gemson, right into the meat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gemson moves to clinch but Garcia breaks away and Garcia counters with a takedown into side control. Garcia working the ground and pound from side control. Garcia looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Gemson sneaks out the side door and pushes Garcia away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garcia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gemson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Garcia somewhat. Gemson circles away from the clinch attempt and Gemson moves into the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gemson stalling the fight.
Gemson pulls guard. Gemson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gemson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gemson keeping full guard, as Garcia tries to pass. Garcia is pushing down on Gemson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gemson is fighting to maintain full guard but Garcia has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that's the end of the fight! Jose Garcia showed his dominance in that final round. I think Garcia has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
