Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robinson Cruzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Long comes to the cage accompanied by remember the name. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Long! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robinson Cruzo! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Long throws a body punch but Cruzo moves out of range. Cruzo rushes Long and presses him up against the cage. Long has Cruzo pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Long pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cruzo tumbling to the mat - Long dives into Cruzo's guard. We've been hearing that Long has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Long wants to stand but Cruzo is controlling his posture from full guard. Cruzo looking to control.
Cruzo is looking for a triangle but Long pushes his legs off easily.
Long trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Cruzo trying to keep a closed guard but Long is proving a slippery customer.
Long stands up and waves to Cruzo to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Long feints and as Cruzo raises his hands in defense, Long changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Long cracks Cruzo with a solid left hand. Cruzo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Long! Long wants to control but Cruzo is having none of it. Long gets back to half guard. Cruzo tries to pass to full mount but Long defends it. Long pushes Cruzo off looking to stand but Cruzo dives back in and keeps control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruzo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Long controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Cruzo blocks the strikes from Long.
Long has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Long actively working from the bottom here. Long is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Long tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Long is trying to stand.
Long makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Long. Cruzo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cruzo trying to control but Long is working from the bottom. Long tries to land a sweep but no joy. Long keeping moving, preventing Cruzo from controlling successfully. Long is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Long wants to control but Cruzo is keeping him busy. Long is really struggling to control Cruzo but he's trying to hold on to the position. Long seems to be looking for submissions.
Long is keen to just control but Cruzo is a slippery customer. Long content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Long tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cruzo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Long dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Long takes a swing at Cruzo's ribcage but misses. Long fails with the takedown and Cruzo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Long thinking. Long fails with a takedown attempt. Long tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cruzo swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Long. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cruzo gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cruzo tries for a takedown but Long manages to get underhooks.
Cruzo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Long walks away with a smile on his face. Cruzo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Cruzo clinches. Cruzo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Long fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Long drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Long postures up in Cruzo's guard and throws a big left but Cruzo blocks it. Cruzo wants to stand and escape but Long is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Long stands up from Cruzo's guard - Long perhaps looking for a knockout. A momentary lapse in concentration from Cruzo enables Long to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cruzo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Cruzo has his hands on Long's head, controlling the position. Long postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruzo seems keen to control Long's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cruzo is working an open guard so Long takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Long tries a head kick but it misses.
Long shoots in for a takedown but Cruzo shows good takedown defense. Cruzo moves into range and clinches up with Long. Cruzo has Long pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Long manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. The referee is keeping an eye on Long - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Cruzo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Long takes one on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Long shoots for a takedown but Cruzo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cruzo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Long paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cruzo doesn't manage to clinch there - Long circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Long pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cruzo is keeping the position for now. Long thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Long missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Cruzo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Long dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Long throws a sloppy head kick and Cruzo moves out of range easily. Cruzo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Long sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Cruzo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Long as he avoids it easily. Long is looking to clinch but Cruzo is avoiding it.
Cruzo shoots in and drives through. Long sprawls well. Jack Long has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robinson Cruzo. The fight moves into the clinch position. Long has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cruzo after a bit of a struggle. Long gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Cruzo regains guard.
Long gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Horrible takedown by Long or perhaps it was just good defense by Cruzo which made him look bad. Cruzo avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Long stuffs the takedown attempt from Cruzo. Cruzo gets slowly back to his feet. Long throws a head kick that misses. Cruzo fails with a takedown attempt. Cruzo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Long to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jack Long overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Long wants to control from the top but Cruzo keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Long stops Cruzo from standing up. Cruzo has momentary wrist control but Long slips an elbow through the middle. Long is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Long drops back looking for a leg! Cruzo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cruzo manages to kick Long off! Long jumps back into Cruzo's guard. Long trying to control the position from guard on top but Cruzo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Long sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cruzo's guard. Long is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Long is nestled in close to Cruzo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Cruzo trying to control here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Long wants to control but Cruzo is keeping him busy. Ground and pound from Long. Cruzo is staying active underneath Long, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Cruzo gets full guard. Cruzo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Long keeping control of the position. Jack Long is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Long wants to control but Cruzo is keeping busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Long showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Long, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
