Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimmo Lisko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimmo Lisko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, George Rush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kimmo Lisko!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush stalks Lisko and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lisko's face. Lisko staggers backwards, shaken.

Lisko fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rush sprawls well initially but Lisko persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Rush blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lisko.
Rush has hold of Lisko's hands but Lisko slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Lisko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rush is just riding it out for now. Lisko eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are battling for position here. Rush manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Rush trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Lisko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Lisko postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rush is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lisko, into his guard.

Rush connects with a couple of short punches.

Lisko had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rush is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lisko Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rush's back instead.

Rush rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Rush is looking for a sweep. Lisko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Lisko is tying to control. Rush wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Rush kicks off Lisko and gets to his feet.

Lisko drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rush is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Rush wants to sweep but no luck.

Rush has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lisko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lisko has gone for a leg lock! Rush slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lisko's guard.
Rush pushes down on Lisko's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Rush is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lisko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rush.

Lisko is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Rush pulls his head out easily.
Lisko is trying to maintain the position but Rush is very close to passing his half guard.
Lisko wants to improve his position but Rush is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lisko misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Rush works his way into full mount!
Lisko tries to control the position but Rush now has his back.
Lisko can't escape the position.
Rush lands shots from the back.
Rush biding his time, controlling Lisko.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Rush dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A swing and a miss from Lisko.
Lisko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rush but Rush pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rush with a jab.
Rush shoots in and drives through. Lisko sprawls well.
Rush lands with a cross.

Lisko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rush's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lisko is looking to advance position but Rush has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lisko wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Rush is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lisko defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rush trying to control momentarily.
Lisko can't escape the position.
Rush will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lisko turns into Rush and is now in his guard.
Lisko working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rush's head.
Lisko cracks Rush with a solid left hand.
Lisko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rush swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Lisko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rush.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lisko misses with a takedown attempt
and Rush counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Lisko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lisko showed some decent athleticism there.
Rush is not content to let Lisko control the position.
Rush wants to control but Lisko is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lisko wants to pass to mount but Rush is defending the position.

Lisko is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Rush wants to control but Lisko is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Lisko is looking for a kimura but Rush is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lisko to get the leverage.

Kimmo Lisko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Lisko is nestled in close to Rush, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kimmo Lisko has got the better of the ground game so far.

I think Lisko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
