The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture misses with a wild combination.
LIMA misses with an attempted mid kick.
LIMA doesn't manage to clinch there - Couture circles away.
LIMA shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Couture as he jumps to the side.
Couture throws a right and a left that LIMA avoids nicely.
Couture lands with an uppercut that bounces LIMA off the cage and back into rage.
LIMA buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
LIMA throws a leg kick which misses Couture's front leg but catches the back leg as Couture tries to avoid it.
LIMA slips a straight right by Couture.
LIMA shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Couture fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
LIMA shoots for a takedown but Couture saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for AXEL LIMA. That's going to take a lot out of him.
LIMA shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Couture as he avoids it easily.
Brandon Couture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Couture looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
LIMA walks into a jab.
LIMA is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Couture.

LIMA is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
LIMA drops his hands momentarily. Couture doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. LIMA staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. LIMA doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
