Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arlen Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teryy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teryy Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arlen Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Teryy Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bush's half guard.
Bush might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Johnson trying to pass the guard but Bush defending well.
Johnson is looking to stall here but Bush recovers full guard.
Bush has control of Johnson's left arm, preventing Johnson from doing any damage.
Johnson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Johnson stands up and waves to Bush to follow him.

Bush pushes Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.

Johnson tightens his grip and picks Bush up, before dumping him to the ground. Bush manages to land in guard.
Johnson looking to pass the guard.
Johnson wants to get up but he can't break Bush's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Johnson is looking to stand up but Bush won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bush could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Teryy Johnson was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bush tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Johnson has managed to clinch.
Bush drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bush is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Johnson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Johnson has Bush pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Johnson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bush tumbling to the mat - Johnson dives into Bush's guard.
Bush is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Johnson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bush has his hands on Johnson's head, controlling the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Teryy Johnson wasn't active enough on the ground.

Johnson has taken the fight to the clinch.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Johnson is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Bush as he works his way to full guard.
Bush pulls Johnson in to control the position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bush pulls Johnson in close to his closed guard and prevents Johnson from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Arlen Bush.

Johnson moves into the clinch.

Bush postures up and lands a big shot to Johnson's brow.
Bush scoring with punches to the head and body.

Bush stands and steps away. Johnson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Bush tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.
Bush is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Teryy Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnson moves into the clinch successfully.
Bush is pushing Johnson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Johnson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Bush has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Johnson regains guard immediately.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bush gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Johnson shoots in and bounces Bush off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Johnson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Johnson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Johnson won't allow Bush to sweep him here.
Teryy Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Johnson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Bush keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.

Teryy Johnson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Johnson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bush to the ground. Johnson is now in Bush's guard.
Johnson looking to sit in guard and control but Bush gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bush stands up from Johnson's guard - Bush perhaps looking for a knockout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bush looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Teryy Johnson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Johnson trying to control the action but Bush is working from the bottom.
Johnson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bush knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Johnson in particular looking to stall.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Johnson is keen to just control but Bush is a slippery customer.

Teryy Johnson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bush is pulling down on Johnson's head. It's preventing any offense from Johnson, at least for the moment.

Arlen Bush has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Bush throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Johnson shoots in and bounces Bush off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Bush has wrist control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johnson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bush has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Johnson misses with a shot to the body

and Bush counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnson's guard now.
Johnson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bush stands up and waves to Johnson to follow him.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Johnson.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Johnson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bush is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bush with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Teryy Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
